Support for admin

Hi peoples.
I know I'm not here for you to see much but never the less I am here. Messages get left for me and people email me things and I speak to people still on a quite regular basis as well as checking the forums almost every single day despite not having a computer or gaming for 2 and a half years. FG means a hell of a lot to me and has been there for me for going on 6 years. I have been here since almost the beginning through the good times and the bad and I think we have a pretty decent clan here. I think things are getting lost a bit recently, I think people need to remember that first and foremost, FG is a community of friends who like to get on a computer together and have a race or go off and pwn someones ass and have a bloody good laugh, we are a scrimming clan and we do have races and matches but these do not dictate who we are.
As much as I am upset at some things that have happened recently, I feel that some people need to be reminded that admins do what they do because they love this clan, they love its members but most of all they love to game with friends. I also think people need to be reminded that admins don't get paid and that this clan does not come for free. Servers need to be paid for so this clan needs regular donations. We do not charge you to be a member of this clan like some others do as we are a community but still.... things have to be paid for and it really upsets me given how much people do for this clan that every month, I see a post needing to ask for donations. Come on guys get off your arse, a couple of quid is not a lot to ask for hours of time gaming with your mates, if you did that in the pub its £3 every pint near enough. Buy FG a pint once a month if you want to look at it like that.
As far as the admin team go.... we do have lives.... real live ones
, jobs, families, holidays, illnesses, unexpected nastiness and at the end of the day, these always come first, these are our real commitments and as much as we love FG, sometimes it has to take the back burner. Also, unfortunately, it happens that more than 1 of the admin team has something go on in their lives that has to take over. It's not great or what we want but unfortunately, thats life. People are entitled to get ill, or have a holiday or go on leave. People are allowed to have a break if things get too much for them, I think you'll find that near enough every member of the admin team has left or thought fuck it at some point... well... be supportive, understand that being an admin is not easy and 99% of the time it's not fun. Just think how you would feel if you had a crappy day at work, come home, switched on your computer to have a game and chat with your friends only to get night after night... ''Why doesn't this work.... why doesnt that work.... i cant get on here... i cant log in.... theres no money in the account.... team speak is down... i dont like this person... blah blah blah'' to the point where you don't get a minute to do the thing you love.... GAMING WITH YOUR FRIENDS.
The clan wont fall apart if we dont have a match for a couple of weeks but it will if we all fall out and stop being friends and putting undue pressure on people who work their arse off for you and this clan at times in their life that they may not be able to cope. Be supportive please people.
I'm not saying that you shouldnt ever come to an admin over a problem but I'm asking you to be supportive and ask if theres anything you can do to help or do for the admin team rather than nagging them over things that are probably already being dealt with or discussed or fixed.
Raith.... HHEEEELLLLPPPPPP.... Jules and MC, you are doing an excellent job and I won't hear different, I think people need to appreciate the job you do and the effort and commitment you have put in. Lucy... you should be on leave!!!! However, you are doing all you can when you can and I am greatful. Cloggy, you're still a twat but still, I hope things get less twatty for you and you can come back to us soon. Sammy, you should be out getting laid but when you're not, thank you. Ozza... you're far more intelligent than I thought and I'm so proud that you're living the dream and know your friends and your home are still here and Corkie... Thank you for putting your heart into BF3, its not been too easy but I hear good things. Maf... thanks for still doing what you are given that you chose not to, people find you a hard person to let go. To all members past and present... FG is here for you and is a great place to be but only if you make it that way but thank you for being here and part of the family.
