hey guys and girls, thought i'd warn you about a pretty nasty virus that's been circulating around the tinterweb, it'll pose as a silent prgram that executes from your temporary internet files, and it manifests itself as an antivirus tool which suddenly pops up and disables your exe files from executing, and takes over everything, including windows antiviruses like mcafee and norton, avast and even windows defender/security essentials, i have got this virus recently and it's a bitch to remove, first thing you should do as soon as you see it pop up is shut down before it takes over your exe files, and reboot into safe mode, then from there, do a system restore to your most recent restore point, it's the only method i've found to remove it before it corrupts your default exe function, if it has already removed the exe function then you WILL have to re-install windows.

i should probably get installing prevx.... but i cant be bothered. it would give me a good reason to install windows to my ssd instead of my hdd

had viruses like this in the past, nightmares to remove them once they stop exe and task manager access but it can be done. hope to see you in game soon mate

Deal with a few of these every month.

1: Download and run NCRfix
http://download.blee.../reg/FixNCR.reg

This re-enabled you to run exe files

2: Download and run Rkill
http://download.blee...inler/rkill.exe

This kills the malware processes that block anti virus and cleaner software from running. Note: It kills the current process to allow access to cleaner / av but will not remove the infection, see step 3

3: Run your antivirus software / cleaners/
You should now be able to run your gear to delete the cunts, i recommend malwarebytes, antivir, super antispyware and hitman pro.

4: Resume browsing porn.

that's the thing, i've encountered this virus twice, the first time was my friend in manchester who was browsing a recipe website (family girl), which needed a fresh install because i couldn't even get onto a browser window because it uses exe files, and about 2 hours ago, me trying to find a weather widget for iPad, so porn isn't the culprit.

i'm going to download your reg file anyway and put it on a usb stick for future reference, thanks mate.

Seriously though, can hit you from anywhere, i have a few usb sticks loaded with tools.  Always a good idea.
