Does anyone have a tablet computer? iPad or Galaxy Tab etc.

I'm in the market, basically I'm getting a desktop (yes games wooo touchscreen pc yaay awesome excited woo) but don't want to be restricted to by desk for emails and facebook etc so i'm getting a tablet

Anyone know which is best? It will never leave the house but so much choice i'm overwhelmed. Swaying towards iPad as they have catchy ad campaigns but know the Acer or Samsung android ones are also awesome.

(yes the title is meant to say computers, my P key is broken and very temramental!)

go for the motorola xoom or the samsung galaxy tab 10.1. the ipad is good but it's overpriced imho.

How do the apps compare to the ipad? Most of the big shops I go too only seem to have ipad.

I mean like - does amazon have an andriod app and is angry birds free?

do you mean kindle for android? and i got angry birds for free on WP7 so i'd guess you can get it for andriod. the android market place is growing everyday as more and more people buy android devices.

I mean an actually Amazon.co.uk shop app, basically amazon website as an app, gf has it on her iPhone.

I own a Ipad 1 and must say its great i use it basicly as you want to also its easy user friendly and the apps are amazing  theres even a Teamspeak app for it now too
I even use it for online banking and have never had any issues, Ive jailbroken mine so can use allot of extra features that apple had locked and can get free cough cough apps out with the norm. ive even used my ipad to make calls via Google yes thats right Phone calls lol but i dont think walking down the street with it at my ear would look that cool


Needsie has the ipad 2 with ios 5 its got a better cpu and a camera but its not that great a camera but its there if needed, and apps for that too  theres so many apps out there for ipad 1 and 2 its unbelievable

Howdy waideywoos, how's life treating you? Sorry I haven't been on recently, went bed early last night, typing this on the bus to work on my iPad ;-)

Anywhoos, as jules says, you're paying for the luxury of an apple device, and the OS is flawless, it will never crash and burn, it's been stable since I've had iPads, had them for 2 years now, I know Archie has said there's no point to getting an iPad 2 but it really is down to the person, I see the benefits as the games ran a bit slower, nothing like playing angry birds HD at 30fps compared to iPad 1 at 20, there are a few advantages, gaming performance is 9x faster compared to the iPad 1 and it is true, infinity blade is a game you must get.

Thanks for the responses guys, pretty much made it essential I get an iPad (there goes my xmas bonus!)

Life is good gents, thanks for asking, could do with some more free time though, between my shiny new job and the ACA qualification I'm not finding much down town atm, hopefully it will settle down in the new year!
