has anyone had their fans going louder after they've booted into windows or has had that problem?
i got a ati 6870 and it started after a reboot the other day
basically when i turn it on and it's the post booting stage it's normal and then when windows loads it gets stupidly loud

i've had that from the moment that i bought my 6850. i just use trixx to control the fan as ccc doesn't seem to know how.
ccc seems to think that on idle my fan has to be on 55% and it gets bloody loud over 40%.
what are your temps by the way?

Nice. Other option is to force it in various config files.
