no it was sky that capped him not BT. this was confirmed with a call to sky themselves and he was on sky unlimited aswell and not sky connect. sky connect is only if you are in an area that sky do not offer net and they most definatley offer net in my area as i've been on it for the last 18 months plus. and sky are not the only isp to offer true unlimited net, O2 do aswell. i was with them before sky. only reason i moved is because sky were cheaper as we no longer had O2 mobile contracts so it shot up in price. oh and BE also do true unlimited. so that is 3 isp's that have unlimited net without a fair usage policy that i know of.
my net is fine aswell

sky only pay your money to BT if they don't have their own equipement in your local exchange. (like they do round here) but they do have equipment in some exchanges. BT is responsible for the phone network so if there is any damage to your phoneline then it's bt's fault give sky a ring and tell them you're loosing net connection. when i first joined sky my net was awfull so they sent bt open reach out and it turned out that my line into the house was split. so they replaced the whole thing and all fine now.
