Woke up today to this amazing speed!



Cant do shit, wont stream vids, cant play online and every forum page takes an eternity to load.

Seems it's not sky but the torrent link for that MW2 free version that colt posted about, when I try to download it with Vuze it robs all my bandwidth. If I stop that particular file it goes ok again. The first download link on that page is pony, use the piratebay one it's faster.

as @rry says give them a call. there could possibly be work going on on the network in your area. i've not had any issues with sky except there general incompetence.

Yea ev, vuze has a right click option to set the upspeed and downspeed of any torrent, even individual users, this is basic torrent knowledge lol

nah man see thats what i thought, it was true with BT they capped us but then we went with orange and i think BT didn't lift the cap so when they saw the max speed it was 512 so thats what they gave us problem is they're all a bunch of noobs who i can't understand so i thought instead of trying really hard to fix it just get rid of the problem and the bt line and just go fully with sky XD we'll see how that goes

Sky do not cap customers, they just give you very average broadband speed in my experience. Virgin gave me great speed but bloody capped me way too often so I switched to sky.

well i now have to wait till tuesday next week for my net as they are a bunch of idiots that don't know their arse from their elbow. oh and it seems they sent me a letter about my connection date on the 8th............ so the post round by must be the slowest ever as still not received any letters from sky except one offering me a new HD box.



sky do cap their customers, a mate had his capped for dl'ing too much even though he is on their ultimate broadband. and sky offer the fastest bb in my area along with O2. BT won't offer anything over 8meg where as i'm getting a min of 12.5meg with sky and got a min of 13meg with O2 before. i'm just waiting for them to turn the BT infinty in my area as we should be able to get virgin beating speeds then. they've laid all the network and switched it on for the local schools, they've just not turned on the residential network yet.

Sitting here with a ping of 484 instead of usual 50 because Sky are saying that I am  heavy user on their services. I am paying for an Unlimited service so I should be using as much as I like. My usual downloads per month are around 20Gb which is around half of what their capped amount is so this is leaving me a little confused and a whole lot pissed off! Have written a shitty email to the complaints dept in the hope that maybe they will give me back the service I am paying the bastards for. If not then Virgin poxy media here I come.

it wasn't sky that capped him, it was BT, sky do not cap their customers, if he thought he was on unlimited then he may have been on broadband connect, which is sky hitch-hiking on BT's connection and charging you more for the priviledge, I had that until I moaned about it and they switched me onto unlimited, sky don't even have a fair usage unless you're on broadband minimum, best ISP just because it's the only ISP without fair usage!
