Not sure how much substance there is to this story but you may want to read this if you had plans to upgrade to one of the Sandybrige series.

The flaw ONLY manifests in the 3Gbs SATA ports. ESATA and 6Gbs ports are unaffected. Moving all devices to 6Gbs ports avoids the issue all together
That leave me with 1 Hard and Dvd In 3g ports, hence got 3 hard drives
I take it back at end of next month for replacement.
