Are any of you guys familia with Everest.

Thats the monitoring program. (not the big hill or the window firm). :to_pick_ones_nose_eat:

Ive got the full version and could do with some pointers as how best to use it.

Any tips would be helpfull.

And before any one offers any good advice like "don't eat yellow snow", I found that one out the hard way!!! :scratch_one-s_head:

iv used it in the past but found CPU-Z better for monitoring but that maybe because u have duel monitors, everest is good for specs and stuff and will give u a core temp but cant be tricky to monitor temps and stuff

Please remember that I still don't know what I'm doing, so any pointers are usefull. :locomotive:

Can i set any of these to run over a period of time and give me a graph readout?/ average and peak etc...

core temp outputs temps to a spreadsheet as does everest ultimate i think. i've found everest can be a little off with temps.

if it's for oc'ing your cpu then use coretemp and cpu-z. coretemp for your temps and cpu-z for voltages, ram speed, core speed and such.

cpu-z http://www.cpuid.com...55-setup-en.exe
coretemp http://www.alcpu.com/CoreTemp/

Thanks.

It will be for oc'ing. But not at mo.

At mo I need to take some figure's from my air cooled, so's that I can compare with water cooled in a week or so's time.

When I have my water cool fitted, I will then start to learn bout oc'ing. 1 head ache at a time. :to_pick_ones_nose_eat:

I had bought full version of everest ultimate. (didn't know cpuz was free! woops). And have downloaded cpuz.

Very full!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been working on it for the last 3 months, and should have it running week on tuesday.

I am allowing 4 days to rip every thing appart and put back which will start next Sat.

So I have to ask for two days leave from work at short notice. ( I just have to catch my boss before someone pisses her off!!!!)

I have thrown convention out of the window, so i haven't wanted to post untill i have it running and working.

I'm an almost gas registered heating engineer who finishes top of the class with little effort.

I work on 4BAR water supplies above 10 million pound properties, and my work does not leak or go wrong, there is no room for error.

I am rigging this up so as that i can run all 4 pumps with out power through the system, every thing will be dead untill i am absolutely sure that it is dry.

I am incoporating safety features, ie. the machine wont swich on if the pumps dont run etc.

Please feel free to remind me of this post when i come back on with my laptop cos I cooked every thing!!!!! :laugh2:

Just to add, I liked the lips, thuoght they were v cool. V GTA sort of thing.

@ Preci
Right idea on the tip but wrong tho :p
If you rig it up on old parts it wont make any difference as when you brake it down and redo it on the main parts you still have to leak test anyway.

@ Suffryn
I've been researching my own WC for the last while too  testwink
I presume your only cooling cpu as the haf aint got enough rad space to cool your 3 gfx cards too? Correct me if i'm wrong though.
List up what WC parts your gonna use as i'm curious to see what your going with.

Custom build rig (prototype at mo).

8ltr custom perspex vessel with expansion vessell.

4*laing d5 vario pumps each with own N/O flow switch.

Appliances supplied in paralel via 2* 5-port manifold. Each getting own cold!

Just to keep people thinking for a bit, no radiators!!!  :laugh2:

All designed and built by me with the OK of a Chemist, seasoned Heating Engineer and refrigeration guy.

IF this works, I'll make number 2, and it will be a fraction of the size.

I've absolutely poured my heart and soul (and wallet) into this overlast few months, ive had to beg borrow and steal to get the pumps cos few in europe has 4 of them.

This is why I haven't posted, cos I couldn't accept any negative criticism untill I have proved that it does or doesn't work. And believe me, when I say that I will make it work, IT WILL WORK!!!

And to add, a little teaser;

Nice job so far, looking forward to seeing the beast in action.

So from what i can see the tubing/pipework is going to act like rads to dissipate the heat into the water filled units?
Again correct me if wrong.

What sorta temps to you expect to get in comparsion to say 2x 120.3 rads?

I have been running my multi meter over my psu and found out that the psu does not supply power to the molex's without switching the puter on and the mother board telling the psu to work.

So my new friend at www.candccentral.co.uk has told me to link the green and any black on the 20/24pin eatx mobo lead and you can power the other cables with your system dead!!!

Or part number 52023 at www.candccentral.co.uk .

Appologies ahead if you allready new this.

Sorry game, i spent 1/2 hour writing explanation and uking poota crashed ( i think it was all that impatient clicking).

I dont have full explan in me, crash has pissed me right off, first in aaaaaaaages!

To cut a very long story short, the pipework in the  main vessel is gonna chill surroundind water. Surrounding water is to be drawn from for appliances.

Here's another couple of pics.

this is for me to see what the pipework is going to do.

Yeah a paper clip is all you need to start the psu.
You can also get like what you linked but with a swutch so you can start and stop without having to disconnect it.

Fair play thats some project your doing.
Are you aiming for sub-ambient temps with the chillled water?
Look forward to more details.

yeh he did say something about that with the paperclip.

When you say swutch, i assume you mean switch, and BIG TY you just given me another idea!!! :thumbs up:  :thumbs up:  :thumbs up:

Sub ambient would be great, but, i think that the water will be moving out of the vessel too fast.

so, to start or atleast i will be greatfull if i don't get a temp rise in vessel. I have fitted probe thermometer on the way out.

as i am limited to not using cfc's, hcfc's, and replacement hfc@s (due to international teaties and legislation and stuuf I cant even buy them), I can only use what ever liquid i can lay my hands on at mo off shelf,

ie: isopropyl alcohol boiling point at sea level 81'c.

other stuff is harder to get hold of, like bromine 58.8'c would be ideal or any other between 50 and 60 would be fantastic,

I even thought about using LPG, but like refridgerant gases Stuff like this requiers silver soldering, heavy duty noisy pumps, and the hardest most difficult obstacle- charging the sytem,

So refridgerant gases will be a couple of jobs down the line.
