i bought a new motherboard, but when i put all my components on to it and try booting it up it comes up about overclocking failed and wont boot up? :/ what could that be?

game or nate would be your best bet for oc'ing.

Try to run it first on new board without overclocking the thing, then when its running ok try to overclock if thats what your trying to do Sneaky.

i didnt want to overclock it tho, thats just what it says when i boot it up :/

sounds like settings are wrong in boot up??

But apart from that you need to speak to the nerds techy guys mate.

Game4it will probaly put you right mate.

Get ur motherboard, take a leak over its vital parts then smash it with a hammer. should solve ur problem sneaky :p

ignore ozza's techneical help.


go into your bios and see what everything is set to. if you are not trying to oc, if it has a setting for auto then use that.

go into biso restore to factory defaults save exit reboot still sayin that take the battery out the motherboard boot for over 15 secs switch off put battery back in (correct way) problem should have gone, if not you may have a dead battery but try those first as it should really work then

if he's got a dead cmos battery he'd get checksum errors not a failed oc error.

OK....

When installing a new mobo you really need to do a fresh install of windows as the chipset drivers will be wrong and conflict.Sometimes it works without the format but its rare.

Is it getting as far as a windows screen when you tyring to boot?
If so i'd say its format time.

nah it doesnt get boot up, my light on my mouse and monitor come on then it just reboots and keeps doing that all the time :/
