He wants to Crossfire 2 Asus Radeon HD 5970's on a EVGA X58 1366 LGA 3 WAY Classified motherboard, using a Intel 975 CPU at 4.0 GHz
Together with a Corsair 1000 Watt powersupply, he's wondering if he will expierence problems with running a system like this, for example slowness on the cards due to
not high enough CPU speed(this means he doesnt want it to lag (obviously) and choke on information, etc. ), or some kind of bottlenecking, etc.
Any suggestions would help him alot, thanks!

TBH I nvr bought into the realms of 'crossfire' in the age of Voodoo 3 cards and I dont really buy into it these days either (with very limited exceptions). It is just another way for a marketeers to sell u more stuff than you need (says someone with a business degree and specialism in marketing!) and excite the generally unsuspecting public with big numbers. I mean how many noobs are lured by the large memory numbers of some GFx cards without thought to all the other aspects of said card that play a far more imporant role in it's abilities for the average user? (Sorry got a bit carried away there - *** STEPS DOWN FROM SOAP BOX***)
Anyways, either go with the watercooling suggestion, or tell him to donate his excess funds to me or clan (FG) to buy a stonger cage to keep @rry in! LMAO
Oh and the CPU and PSU will do the job fine.

Plus a lot of games don't support Crossfire and or have serious issues running when crossfire is enabled graphics artifacts CTD etc.
Best going with game and Preci's advice

Most modern game scale extremly well now with the Ati cards.
For instance two 5770's will beat a 5850 in most games and nearly match a 5870 in some.

That's if its supported by the game... Though most newer games fully support it and older ones that don't usually have had support added in a patch.
