i have £200 to spend on a graphics card, just looking for suggestions, pcie and has to be nvidia

Maf you will not get any value buying Nvidia.
What card have you got now and what mobo,PSU do you have?
Imo Ati is far better in "the bang for bucks" stakes atm.
For £195 you can get an Ati 5850 if you can wait a couple of weeks for stock.
For approx £180-£200 you can get a Nvidia GTX 275.
For approx £220 you can get an Nvidia GTX285 if you can wait a couple of weeks for stock.
GTX 275 v 5850
The Ati uses less power,is cooler (heat wise
) and is DX11.
It also is quieter and out performs the GTX 275 by about 40% in some cases.
GTX 285 v 5850
As above bar the Ati only beats it by 30%

^^ have to agree on that maf
if u could strech afew extra ££ then u could get a ATI - Radeon HD5850 but if not 4890 is still good

i have the nvidia 8800gt and q6600. its a dell board fuck knows what i know its a nvidia board (chipset)

yup both Maf and me have exactly same machines and Graphics cards at the momment so would be nice to know whats on offer to upgrade?

game gave me a good link but i lost it, so game if u would or still have it about the performance boost's with new cards that would be awsum

i was looking at the bfg 275 ocx as realy thats the only nvidia card within my price range, but looking at the specs it does seem a little silly getting one when the 5850 kiks its ass

i got that bit wrong anyway chris, its an intel chipset , and i need to upgrade me psu for the 5850, so looks like thats the plan just need some more money first
