Intel® Core™2 Duo CPU E7300 @ 2.66GHz (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
Memory:
4GB 800MHz RAM (OC'ed to 900MHz)
Hard Drive:
750 GB (SATA)
Video Card:
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS 512
Sound Card:
Xfi Titanium
Operating System:
Windows 7 Pro
Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-73PVM-S2H
Computer Case: Aercool (Something or other)
PSU (Can't remember but game said it was fail!)
Looking to upgrade to something a bit more powerful.
Ideally Quad-Core and if possible DX11 (Within budget).
I'll say budget around £600-£750 mark.

looks like a decent system barring the GPU and processor, id say go for a Q9550 and a Nvidia 260GTX or a 280GTX and if game says fail on PSU then change it to a 750W or higher with at least 2 12v rails, these are well within budget but if your getting higher spec then i would suggest changing motherboards.

as for dx11 both me and game have dx11 running on our machines and neither of us have dx11 cards. as i have been saying dx11 can run on your cpu. don't bother with an nvidia card at the moment either as they are way too over priced . go for high end hd4870/90 or low end 58 series ati. something like this
(But it flees in the meantime: irretrievable time flies)

You could save cash by getting,
A non modular psu,Ati4870 and an Antec 300.
Both are very good rigs and are miles ahead of what you have now. There are both well able to be clocked to around 4gz without breaking a sweat too.
