i got mine from overclockers.co.uk.

Ordered it on the friday (spec. delivery), had the whole lot turn up on the saturday morning biggrin.gif

Cost me around £400 + postage

*edited bit*

They usually run special offers which is how i got mine so cheap so a bit of browsing for parts is required wink.gif

well if i was made of money needs i would get your mobo but its lookin more likely to be the XFX one i pointed out to you all before

Chipset is 750i and will support sli but im still not sure as it says FBS is 1600(OC) but will that support 1333, im guessing yes as 1333 is slower that 1600 also the memory speed as well is at 1200 and the ram i got is at 1066 so again im guessin that it will work at 1066

O shiz, just realised my Motherboard wont run a FBS 1333mhz so it looks like i need a new motherboard now, so i may as well go big and get one which will last a while like SLI ready and also one that can run my memory, DDR2 at 1066mhz so i can get the full speed out of it rather than 800mhz so its lookin like a big spend for me now, probably over £100 for the motherboard and then once i got the motherboard i would maybe need a new Powersupply and then on top of that there is then the new CPU its self.

never really thought of that till now Fudge cake, guess i could get away with not getting a new PSU but i will need a new one if i did got SLI.

any ideas on a motherboard from what i just said?

SLI <-- Doesnt have to be but prefaired
FBS 1333MHz + <-- Defo need
DDR2 1066MHz + <-- Defo need
Socket 775 <-- Defo need

check for a BIOS-update on your motherboard
if it's from Asus, you'll probably be fine

With bios updates you can skip the ones you don't need.

i.e.

My board had ver. 0702 and there were around 10 updates which took it to 1901.. I went straight to 1901

2 choices with the update - Either do it through windows (if you've balls the size of an elephant) or the old fashioned way via a zip/floppy drive.

And remember to backup the original bios file in case it goes horribly wrong!!

I hope you backed up the old rom.You will have to create a bootable floppy/usb key/cd and from dos mode flash the bios with the new rom you download or to be safe the old one you backed up.
Here is a short guide to help you http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?art...1605&page=4

No probs Preci.
Hopefully you will know on monday if its the mobo or not either way.I would start the RMA process now just to save some time.Sometimes you have to send off info about the problem your having with the hardware before they decide to issue you with a RMA number and sort sending it back out.
