lo adminy types, any chance of gettin server 2 changed over to time attack in the run up to sundays match? it's far easier to see where you're gaining/loosing time and to generaly learne a track when ya can go round it as many times as ya like.

also any chance of track list with TMX id's so I can get the WR's, find racing against the world record helps no end with finding lines and breaking points biggrin.gif

To add to that: that's exactly what I had done... something didn't save or I cocked up (probably the second one) tongue.gif.
Oh, and I remember setting the match time to 7 minutes!

Agreed, but what's wrong with doing that in solo or replay mode? I think it's important to have rounds practice on server. You can practice all you like on time attack but if you get used to pushing so hard that you fall off or screw up even a fairly small percentage of your laps then that's no good for a rounds match.

With plenty of rounds practice you learn to recover from less-than-perfect cornering and finish the lap rather than restarting. Certain sections of maps have to be driven a lot differently if you're going slower than usual.

I think this is why a lot of top TA drivers don't do so well at rounds.

Your dead right DJ, dont know about you lot but in the last match i always took a little of the gas in certain areas to make sure i would finish 8 times out of 10, dont kid yourself into thinking the time you set in T/A will be anywhere near the time you set in rounds mode.

Rounds MUST be driven with the consitancey factor or you'll end up RETIRED in the grass guys?

I enjoy T/A but find that when you do get to rounds its OH-SO different game alltogether and end up crashing and expecting to re-start and "OH SHIT IVE DONE IT AGAIN"

Whatever way you look at it we have to practice, practice, practice until we have it 100% and can run it wiv our eyes closed (well almost)  thats my opinion anyways guys.

Back to the practicing now then a?? rolleyes.gif

We used to have it in TA for the first half of the week so we could learn the track and then switch it to rounds second half to get used to it, Dont know if you still do it that way.

ye i think if we have 7 days with the maps then 3 to t/a and the rest in rounds makes sense..... obviousley thats if we are racing rounds biggrin.gif

yeah can see the logic in that, maybe if theres an admin on and there are 6 or so FG racers on, switch the T/A to Rounds for a bit of realism.
